he was sick for 3 days prior.

I once pocket dialed the cops. I was walking and my thigh heat I guess activated the emergency call on my lock screen. They heard a good 10 minute conversation about illicit narcotics. I took my phone out and saw the call timer....they asked where I w as I simply said "walkin by the tracks" and hung up...

That street was swarming 20 minutes later. I was watching from the track lights, they're easy to climb

Yeah, the time my dad snapped and tried to kill me. We stopped imo Rome eating the gun, but he just proceeded to best the he'll out of me instead. He ended up on my chest, trying to strangle me. I somehow managed to break free and called 911, but he tackled me and crushed the phone. Surprisingly though, that calmed him down. He just sat there insulting me and threatening me until the cops finally arrived(and did nothing about it).

Another time I was at work at the rest area, and some people knocked on the door. They said their grandfather was having a heart attack, so I called 911. The guy was sitting up and talking, but it took forever for an ambulance to arrive, so I sent them on to the hospital which was like 10 minutes away. That was the right choice, after that I called the police to infirm them if what happened and to cancel the emergency call, but like an hour and a half later the ambulance shows up anyway... >_>

Installed a new phone system. By default 9 was to make a break out call but we wanted to make sure people could just dial 999 and get through instead of 9 to break out followed by 999.

Rang them up just to test the system was working as intended.

A group of kids shoplifting, we recovered $200+

A woman who filled her large beach bag with around 20 NyQuil bottles, got away

A man who came into the store holding a long knife, almost looked like an ice pick.

A man who broke into the pharmacy with an axe,

A man who was stealing a bunch of detergent pods

A man who was bleeding from a gunshot wound, ran to the back and used a lot of our first aid products.

A disturbed teenager who came in saying he needed a knife to kill someone. Tried distracting him with questions while police were on their way.

A pair of teenagers that jumped the pharmacy counter, pretended to have a gun, demanded a certain drug

I no longer bother with shoplifters, not worth the stress for minimum wage.

EDIT: also a guy who said he wasnt feeling well, the operator sent an ambulance. The paramedic recognized him, called him by name and said something along the lines of okay were do you need to go this time. Im still confused about that to this day.

Smoke was coming from my neighbours mailslot and the fire alarm was ringing and no one answered when I rang and knocked on the door. Turned out it was food dry boiling. She had left home and forgot the stove on.

Once, back in my dark days in retail. It was a pretty brutal winter, and we chipped and salted a walkway through the ice to the door. Well, some woman decides she doesn't want to use it, goes across the ice, slips and smashes her hip. Eventually somebody comes into the store and says "Hey, there's some woman on the ground out there." He didn't check on her or anything, just came in. Obviously a shining example of human compassion. I go out to find this woman laying on the ground crying, so I call 911.

Cops responded within one minute, they instructed us to get her off the ice onto some cardboard. An ambulance came, carted her away. She ended up being fine, but she still sued the store. She actually lost the lawsuit, because there was a walkway cleared and marked, and her lawyer couldn't convince the jury that a 55 year old woman didn't know ice was slippery.

Twice.

Once after being kidnapped/robbed (called to report it obviously).

Once when driving home from a concert, this guy was going 40 on the freeway and going between lanes and doing all sorts of unsafe shit and I tried to call 911 to report him but I think they hung up on me.
