I'm getting seriously fed up with this medical industry.
My son fell and busted his head open. We went to the urgent care for stitches. This is something they should be able to handle. They admit us and take his temp and vitals. The doctor comes in and looks at it and determines that they can't handle it there and I need to go to the ER. We go there and pay ~$500 after insurance to the Er. A month later we get a bill from the urgent care detailing that they charged $230 for ' emergency services' and $300 for professional fees. This seems fucking criminal to me. We were there less than 30 minutes. I get that we could owe a small fee, but no way am I paying that much. How much do unpaid med bills hurt your credit? --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

No clue why. Now I'll have to sit on hold for hours between the urgent care and insurance just to try and understand what's happening --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
