On one hand, no a true harm was done and this is no big deal in the grand scheme of things.

On the other hand... dude was an unprofessional idiot for doing this in the first place. Stupidity should come with a punishment. He deserves at least some sort of reprimand. If the company decides to fire him for his lack of professionalism, it's 100% on his head.

You shouldn't have to be told not to act like a 14 year old when you're supposed to be grown.

Well there is a difference between playing a game at home and playing a game while representing your company. If you're just making yourself look childish then it's whatever. You're just a random on the internet.

When you're representing a company however, there are standards. Otherwise people will suspect that your company regularly hires less than suitable people. A bad reputation can hurt a company, cause them to lose money.

At work you have to be Professional You. Not casual you.

First of all, no it isn't, it's to demonstrate the game to the public. This comment reminds me of everyone who works in the industry and says "A lot of people think all we do is play videogames for our job."

Second of all, even if that statement was accurate, the fact that you started out with "The job" is why it's not the same as playing a game at home.
