In order to access this option, navigate to your Privacy Settings under My Settings. Here is a direct link: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/user/settings_privacy With this new option, you can choose to either continue receiving Mentions from all users, restrict the system to Friends only, allow all Verified Users, or to simply turn them off completely. Note that regardless of your setting, the Mention will always show up in the posting user's post.
