I give a pass on ignorant usage of the term transgenderism. I read Breitbart, The Federalist, publications from Focus On The Family and the Family Research Council as part of my ongoing opposition research. I know that people who are exposed primarily to middle to far Right media publications are significantly more likely to encounter the term than anyone who is exposed primarily to publications that are generally centrist or left leaning and they may just not know that the term isnt appropriate. In an age where many people receive their information from algorithmic feeds that cater to their perceived pre-existing bias, I try not to assume malice on the part of people who simply havent been exposed to accurate information.

Just have an option for "nonbinary/prefer not to specify". Listing "Transgender (MTF)" and "Female" as two separate options is marginalizing. If it's a medical record or something similar where it matters, biological sex and gender identity can be separate columns, but in 99.9% of cases, this is all you need.

No he isn't. The entire basis of transgender research is about how the brain shows biological differences for male and female genders. There is no research supporting brain differences for any of these snowflake gender classifications.

Just going to point out, as I usually do whenever this topic comes up, that many societies that existed for centuries realized that sometimes people don't fit into the binary male/female gender roles. A lot of them created a third role to adapt to this fact of human nature.

Most well known and largest are probably Native Americans (North and South), South East Asians, and most of the Pacific cultures (including the Philippines, Indonesia, and Polynesia/New Zealand Maori).

This is ancient and recurrent shit that's been a part of our species for thousands of years, and won't be going away anytime soon.

Personally I think "gender fluidity" is a myth that people who want to differentiate themselves (from the norm) just arbitrarily decide on.

I will fully admit that some men are born women and vise versa, I have no doubt about this. But the whole gender fluidity thing is just to be "special" in someway.

I will refer to you as him, her, or your name, whichever you prefer.

I refuse to use ridiculously things like xer though.
