literally why

i thought about putting Louisiana and Georgia too, but those both have cool (i hear) cities in New Orleans and Atlanta, respectively.

Alabama and Mississippi have literally nothing redeeming

I stayed overnight in Ridgeland MS on a road trip to New Orleans once. The people there were some of the nicest, most inviting people I have ever met.

The cost of living is low because it's the poorest area of the country. Cost of living is also extremely low in third world countries. Would you want to live there?

Should have put Oklahoma on there, it's arguably the shittiest state.

Maybe they were nice because of the color of your skin

There are a bunch of nice places in Alabama, not so many in Mississippi but there are a couple like the area east of Jackson. Pretty much anything you'd ever need minus a big body of water or public transportation like you'd find in a big city

But I'm sure they love the memes about the entire South still living in the 1800s since it allows them to live in those areas in huge houses without worrying about other people driving up prices

I prefer living in cities with large metro areas like DC, Atlanta, and even a Chicago but I would not mind living in Tuscaloosa, Hoover, or Huntsville at all
