I feel like most people have stronger bonds with their family, since so many romances fail. But on the other hand it feels like loving your family is given as an obligation. Even if you truly love them, the fact that you don't have to love someone you're not related to but choose to do so anyway might make that stronger in my eyes Also, I hate the word "storge". --- Okay, I rolled a 14. Maybe your family members are obnoxious or toxic or just not people who you get along with. But you would (hopefully) filter those out when looking for a romantic partner. At this point in my life, my family has been there and supported me so much, of course I'm gonna say my love for them is stronger than my failure of a romantic life. But at some point if I actually meet the right girl and feel what it's like to truly feel that type of love, then I'll probably say that's stronger. then yeah we'll make a family and it'll pretty much be all the same at that point --- Let the past die. My mum also choose to side with my dad to the detriment of her relationship with her parents for many years although they've now patched things up. When does Romantic love become Familial love? I don't think there can really be a consensus because some people have crappy families and great love lives, or vice versa, and some people just don't care about their family that much, and some people are non-romantic.
