even the judge said rape and kidnapping out of lovesickness is less severe than for monetary gain

On 19 September 1977 McKinney and her alleged co-conspirator Keith May, 24, were arrested and charged with kidnapping and assault. They vigorously denied the charges. While being taken to Epsom for a court appearance, she held a notice up at the window of the police vehicle saying, "Kirk left with me willingly!"[14] Press reports and McKinney's lawyer refer to the size differential between McKinney, described as slightly built, and Anderson, described as substantially larger.[15][16]

Along with May, McKinney jumped bail and fled the country.[17] On 18 July 1979, they were both arrested in the United States by the FBI on charges of making false statements in order to obtain passports.[18] They both received suspended sentences.[19]

No extradition proceedings were instituted by Britain, and the English court sentenced McKinney in absentia to a year in jail.[20] Under the then-Sexual Offences Act of 1956 in the United Kingdom, due to the victim's gender, there was no crime of rape committed, though indecent assault of a man applied.[21]

that's why she got just a year
and it's not like she served it, she jumped bail and went to the USA
can't really blame a judge here, especially since idk how the british court system works and how much judges have sway over a case

The way UK laws are worded, only a male can rape somebody.
The worst females can do is Assault by Penetration, but that only happen if they penetrate somebody else in the vagina or anus with a finger or a toy in a sexual way.
And if she rapes him without touching his anus, it only counts as Sexual Assault which gives an even shorter sentence.
Heck, males raping males wasnt even illegal until 1994.

Yes.
It says;

(1) A person (A) commits an offence if

(a) he intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person (B) with his penis,

(b) B does not consent to the penetration, and

(c) A does not reasonably believe that B consents.
