How's everyone doing in their game? I'm making steady progress. I'm trying to get up money for some better ship parts right now, so it's faster in combat.

I'm also not a terribly huge fan of the food/morale system. I lose food faster than I can get it, and why the fuck is water -1 morale? It's fucking water, it's a fucking necessity. At least have it be 0 morale.

The U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides), as a combat vessel, carried 48,600 gallons of fresh water for her crew of 475 officers and men. This was sufficient to last six months of sustained operations at sea. She carried no evaporators (i.e. fresh water distillers). However, let it be noted that according to her ships log, On July 27, 1798, the U.S.S. Constitution sailed from Boston with a full complement of 475 officers and men, 48,600 gallons of fresh water; 7,400 cannon sot; 11,600 pounds of black powder and 79,400 gallons of rum. Her mission: To destroy and harass English shipping. Making Jamaica on 6 October, she took on 826 pounds of flour and 68,300 gallons of rum.

Then she headed for the Azores, arriving there 12 November. She provisioned with 550 pounds of beef and 64,300 gallons of Portuguese wine.

On 18 November, she set sail for England. In the ensuing days she defeated five British men-of-war and captured and scuttled 12 English merchant ships, salvaging only the rum aboard each.

By 26 January, her powder and shot were exhausted. Nevertheless, although unarmed she made a night raid up the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. Her landing party captured a whisky distillery and transferred 40,000 gallons of single malt Scotch aboard by dawn. Then she headed home.

The U.S.S. Constitution arrived in Boston on 20 February 1799, with no cannon shot, no food, no powder, no rum, no wine, no whisky, and 38,600 gallons of water.

The free DLC is out. On Steam go to the DLC page and it should be there. Unsure about GoG.

A bit of oddness, when you click to install it it will try to run the game and download it... if you have downloads disabled during gameplay it won't download until you tell it to.

The first large update for Deadfire will be launching in early June - Patch 1.1. This update contains hundreds of fixes and refinements based upon our internal testing and all the great feedback we have been getting.

Included in Patch 1.1 is a complete overhaul of Veteran and Path of the Damned difficulties. You'll find more enemies per encounter and with new level scaling adjustments the game should be much more challenging. Let us know what you think on the forums - this will be an ongoing process based on community feedback. Secondly, for players who want to play the game for a second (or third!) time, we are adding an option to skip the introduction and jump straight into the second scene. This option will be available on the new game screen and will not require any Berath's Blessings points to activate. Lastly, the team is also adding new cosmetic options for player customization with the ability to change character appearance at any time.

We will be releasing even more free DLC over the next few months that will add more items, ship upgrades, crew members, and appearance options. Look for the next free DLC to be available two weeks from now.

Through 2018, we have plans to add more quality of life changes to make the game better and better. For the mod community, we will be releasing documentation on the game data formats, and will be working on tools to help facilitate mods. Another feature that the team is really excited about is what we are calling "Magran's Fires". Similar to Berath's Blessings, these modes can be enabled from the main menu and will add gameplay modifiers for challenges above and beyond Path of the Damned. In addition to the returning Triple Crown and Triple Crown Solo challenges, we will be rolling out challenges themed to Eora's gods, beginning with Berath, Galawain, and, of course, Magran. As always, we are listening to feedback on what you would like to see in future updates.

Sounds pretty sweet overall.

i tried exploring the berath crypt yesterday and got my ass kicked by regular mooks because i cannot concentrate and strategize

they are just scattered all over the place. so many abandoned doggys and kittys in deadfire :(

Just picked this up, is it cool to drop Con to like 5 and Res to 8 on a Cipher/Rogue? Always suck at determining how to blindly spread stats

That's a dangerously low CON. I personally wouldn't go any lower than 8

You can also respec later, but I've heard that it's buggy

Low con is fine if you know what you're doing. Wouldn't recommend if first time playing.

Taking a break for a few hours, left off at the start of Nemnok's quest in Drowned Burrows, haha. I'm making really good progress with side content. Think I'm about done with the map maker one, I need to scout out two islands east of the Maw. I think I did all of the bounty ones. Soon not going to have anything left other than the main story. Group is level 18, as well.

what's everyone's build so far? i have a hierophant that use summoned weapons to blast everything. it's pretty cool how you can do this first, stuff like concelhaut's parasitic staff, then some veil and i go to town with their asses.

if i need ranged, i used the kathlaka's minor blight to blast them. i also use the talking sword sometimes. it's so fun.

Alright! I've explored all of the Deadfire, bounties all done, Sanza's side quest is done (I thought I was going to get his dog but I didn't :() and the only sidequest I have left to do is Serafen's, which...I don't care about so I won't. Done for the night, tomorrow it's main story time and I suppose I'm going to have to pick a faction. And we're all level 20.

Rolling with my Watcher (Rogue/Druid), Xoti, Aloth, Eder, and Maia. I love my party.

I carried on with my pure cipher.

After experiencing the top end spells they got in PoE it was too hard to give them up in the 2nd. I'm still pretty early on as not had much time to play at all sadly. Rocking with the original gang and Xoti. Amusing seeing the difference in banter between her with Eder and Pallegina though.

63 hours total, beat the game. Ended up not going with a faction, I went my own way. Last area was disappointing, I was hoping there'd be some exploration and more fun world building in there, but there was nada.Final boss was visually pleasing and cool, and the different locations shown for how things turned out I always appreciate.

Overall really fun, though honestly I'd probably still put Original Sin 2 above it. Once they work out the questline, companion, difficulty, and various other fixes it'll be a lot better, because I'm still ruffled I didn't get to romance Aloth because raising his meter was the most difficult thing on the planet, good lord.
