Gamefaqs doesn't ban people, they block their accounts from the boards to prevent trolls from being provocative of a pretty vulnerable situation. Liability thing.

That's not true, Error straight up suspended Silver's account and Allen banned it shortly after. I mean yes, they're supposed to block the account but that's assuming they bother to.

Semi-tangent: One thing that I can't wrap my head around, and maybe it's just ignorance on my part, is why people who get hassled online wouldn't block the people doing it or find a new platform and use a fake name. Yeah, they should be free to do whatever innocuous things they want online unmolested, but the world doesn't work that way. There shouldn't be genocide either, but people thinking it's wrong and even intervening doesn't prevent it.
