I won't. I think I have a way to make sure that doesn't happen. What's a good cat food? I haven't had a cat in a long time...

I just get what's cheapest usually but purina kitten chow should be best for a mother cat and kittens. Sheba is the cheapest best wet food too apparently.

Really good catfoods are the ones with high protein and no corn. Also preferably ones with stated ingredients like "chicken" and not things like "chicken byproduct meal".

They're a lot more expensive though.

I can think of a few just offhand. I use Nature's Variety Instinct. Used to use Solid Gold. Blue Buffalo is good too.

Got it. Going to get some kitten food tomorrow from PetSmart. I'm glad ainwas able to find her in the bush today. She seemed hungry. So, I gave a couple. Because I don't know when she last ate. She likes them. She was dipping her paw in to scape the bottoms of the containers. I also set some water out.

So, I closed up a cardboard box, cut like a little entrance, big enough for mama cat, but not too big, and put my soft airport blanket inside. Folded up a little. And it seems to fit well in there. She hasn't used it yet, but she's probably not too close to labor. I might have to move it further into the bushes when I get a chance. Just so it's a little more isolated. And hopefully, when she's ready, she'll use that. It'll be good if she does, because then I can take the food to her. So she won't have to leave her kittens early on.

They don't last very long at all... That's why I was going to see if I could find something at PetSmart today. I was going there for kitten food instead of just cat food. But I did put the box there just on case. Like if it happens before I got the other container. Or if I couldn't find anything...

Somebody feeds the stray cats here in a storage container. I don't think it's large enough for any to lay down in it. That area is too small to fit a good sized one in it.
