I rewatched it last year. Great series, but the big shift later on didn't help it. I'd love to see the show come back and continue where it left off, or reboot it.

At first the show was about the group going from reality to reality to find their way home, and deal with whatever changes and/or conflicts came with the new worlds.

Things changed though as cast members were leaving and getting replaced with new characters, and the filming changing from San Francisco to Los Angeles leading them far from their hometown and many sets being reused such as a hotel they frequented in many episodes. Then we have the introduction of the Kromaggs, which...yeah I don't need to spoil further, it just got weird.

This was one of my favorite shows till the O'Connell brothers left. I know Rhys-Davies leaving was bad, but after the main character just disappeared, I never finished it.

There were all sorts of fucked up shit going on with the execs and whatnot. Like Rhys-Davies made fun of some exec's wife and they cut him. Or Jerry O'Connell asked for more involvement as a producer, and they just denied him, prompting him to just up and leave.
