First. Rather not take the chance of being behind someone that doesnt know what theyre doing.

First is better since I'm actually paying attention and can go right away as soon as the light changes.

Even with stopping, I don't really like having a bunch of people behind me when I can't go safely but it's still better to not be the one waiting.

I just want to be in position to make the green light. First or second means I'll be able to make the light and not have to sit thru another round.

Said second, but then saw that I was gonna go right on red. I'll go first, then. If I come in second any other time, though, then that only means that much less waiting I have to do for a green light.

Where I live, if you're second, it's by maybe 2 seconds. No sig.ificsnt savings of time, compared with the very real possibility that the first car doesn't go when it turns green, or goes 2 MPH or any number of other stupid-ass things.
