Why doesn't Barry just murder Devoe outright seeing as he ran around the city while a bomb was still exploding.

Flash needs to split its next season in to 2 or 3 arcs. Having devoe the main villain for the whole season doesnt make for interesting TV.

Of course it can, have 3 concise arcs but have an over arching storyline. Agents of Shield does it.

because oliver could call barry to deal with all his problems

they need to stick to their lanes because if they call in someone better then the story kind of loses urgency.

luckily everyone is busy with their own shit so they cant just skip town whenever they please so they have to trust the others to look after their own cities and they will look after theres.

fun fact out of all the characters only supergirl. cisco, flash, and alex have been on all 4 shows
no one in the main arrowverse other than cisco and barry have ever guest starred in an episode of supergirl

and out of the supergirl main cast almost no one has gotten to cross over

james - just supergirl
hank - supergirl and flash
winn - supergirl and arrow
mon el - supergirl and flash

but only alex and supergirl have cross overed on all 3 of the other main arrowverse shows

actually i was wrong
i forgot that most of the characters appeared on supergirl in crisis on earth X and was thinking of the previous years cross over where supergirl was involved but not one was in her episode

so yeah all the legends (except nate, amaya and wind girl) and arrow and felicity were in all 4 shows

Completely agree. SHIELD has been excellent for balancing plotlines this way the past two seasons, it doesn't drop continuity between arcs and the transition between them keeps the pacing from feeling like a drag. I actually just had to have a think about which season I was on it flows so naturally.

Completely agree. SHIELD has been excellent for balancing plotlines this way the past two seasons, it doesn't drop continuity between arcs and the transition between them keeps the pacing from feeling like a drag. I actually just had to have a think about which season I was on it flows so naturally.

AoS's format also has the benefit of having 22 episode seasons and none of it feels like blatant filler (except about half of the first season)

Though I think a lot of that can also be credited to the fact that the writers for it are just lightyears beyond Arrowverse writers in terms of talent.
