I was the one who got bullied. and the administration refused to do anything. When I went to complain they said i needed to give them the first and last name of the people doing it.

So I was expected to go up to them ask them to give me the information that would get them in trouble. I can't imagine any scenario where that would've done anything except made things worse.

the school I transferred to had competent admins, so was nicer.

In highschool I beat the piss out of a few bullies. One was picking on my friend and he got it good. Beat his ass so bad he didn't come back to our school.

How where they supposed to help you if they didn't know who was bullying you?

I protected nerd and geek kids because they were better friends than jocks. Since I did kempo and wrlestling and come from a family of poder lifthers and bodybuikders I was always mucho stronger than kids my age.

There were times when I was the bully and times when I was being bullied. I never saw anyone stick up for someone being bullied.

I've been bullied a couple times, and seen some bullying. I intervened a few times, but still regret the times I didn't.

It's kind of shaped who I am, actually; I don't stand for people being jumped on for no reason, even on the internet.

It was pretty common when I was in school. If it was a friend I intervened, but it happened so much that if I did it in every case I would have never made it to classes.

Yes because I had my own shit to deal with. I did end up being acquaintances with one guy who got bullied but that wasn't until after I joined in bullying him. :3

I was such an obvious target for bullying that I never really saw anyone else get bullied. If I existed in a space, it came to me.

Yep, and I used to be bullied in elementary school so it hit a nerve. Was walking to class when I was back in high school, and saw my neighbour's son, a first year, pushed up against the wall by a dude 3 years older than him (I had already graduated, took an extra year for extra classes). I dropped my bag and tossed the guy against the wall and asked him how he liked someone bigger in HIS face? Told him to leave him alone or he'd have bigger problems to deal with. I guess he told his mom that evening and she came over, almost in tears she was so happy that someone stuck up for him and thanked me.

My school wasn't really bad for bullying. Most of the fights were girls swiping at each other over boys and the rest were mainly (not kidding) nerds and weirdos picking fights with the tougher kids, getting beaten up, then running to the principal.

A good guy I know, whose mom left when he was a kid, was tougher than everyone in the building except the wrestling coach and this fat kid with glasses was always on at him about how his mom left him and stuff, sometimes shoving him to get it going. Then the Vice Principal, who never listened to anybody and was the absolute fucking worst (story for another day) would automatically judge them based on appearances and take the nerd's side.

The only major instance of me standing up for somebody else was when my nice, pacifist buddy was getting picked on (coincidentally by the same fat guy with glasses from the above story). They were by themselves in this hallway and the jerk was shoving him around a bit. I just walked over, slammed him into the locker, punched him in the gut, then threw him to the floor. A teacher heard this and came out, I just said "he was picking on ____" (who all the teachers loved) so he just went back into his classroom and closed the door. The dickhead's face went from "ha, now you're in trouble" to sheer horror. It was funny. I let him up but told him I'd beat the fuck out of him if he did that again.

I got picked on because I never defended myself. It was more just general harassing and annoying than anything physical.

Haven't seen comicbook style bully villainy before but it was usually girls fighting and yeah I didn't hang out with girls.

I never witnessed bullying at my schools except for the one guy who bullied me.

That stopped my junior of high school when I got fed up and called my bully a fucking shorty, gay, black person. He just walked away. After that he became my friend.

In response, I continued to bully them.
