Howd it go, TMS? I ended up splitting two queues with GB snake. No need at all for M19 cards in that deck, and it is super consistent.

2-0 then split the last round with UWg fliers, green splash was for the uncommon UG guy.

Should be drafting a bunch this weekend, going to Worcester for the SCG event. I really want to try the mill deck and Im curious to test if a 5-color deck is viable if you just snap up all the duals. Theres more of those flying around than I thought.

I have, i think that was the same episode as the dr mike one. Its so absurd it's amazing

I never got the confusion around the N64 controller, was an alright design that allowed you to hold it and either use the Dpad or the analog stick. Only problem is not many developers seemed to use the dpad configuration.

New story came out. Jesus Christ, Tarkir's entire concept shat the bed when all the clans got supplanted with the Dragonlords that just oppress all the humanoids even though Sarkhan claimed the people would be more under the dragons' rule. Today's story just emphasized that the most as Queen Dumb Fatass Atarka shows that Yasova really didn't do anything wrong.

Yeah they kinda screwed the pooch on that one. I think if we ever go back to Tarkir, the story is going to end up finding a way to put the clans back in charge.

Also I'm pretty happy that the mill deck seems to be legit in M19. I drafted it a few times this weekend and did pretty well. You really only need one Psychic Corrosion, though obviously two is preferred. U/B or U/R (or U/r/b) all works, just grab as much removal as you can, and then the big butt 2-drops like Wall of Mist and Omenspeaker and some card draw. Salvager of Secrets is great here too, and I've noticed that card going around fairly late.

Also god forbid you get a Patient Rebuilding. That card is absurd (and I had two of them in one of my drafts).

Patient Rebuilding is legit, and the mill deck is really what it should be a control deck that just happens to ignore the opponents life total. It helps that theres no Elixir of Immortality to randomly hose the deck this time around.

Yep, it's definitely been my favorite archetype in the format so far. The W/G enchantments one is neat too, but that deck really hinges on if you can get a Vine Mare or not from what I've seen. Which is a lot less likely than getting passed a Psychic Corrosion.

The format is pretty slow, aside from the nuts R/W token deck, so the control decks have felt fairly strong.

I have only done a few drafts, but I have played RG monsters quite a bit. Nothing says core set limited like beating the opponent to death with vanilla 4/5s as a legitimate strategy.

Yeah, the big creatures are very good in this format because the small ones are all garbo.

Like, Colossal Dreadmaw is a legit threat. Finally he gets his time in the sun.
