The big question is if they will end it with a cliffhanger (Thanos got it, kills most of the heroes and starts to reshape the universe while the remaining heroes are stranded on the other side of the galaxy saying We are so fucked) or if they will end it (the heroes are beaten, discovers that they can recruit alternative dimension versions of themselves when Thanos reshapes the universe, manages to beat Thanos, Thanos uses his last powers to start the self destruction of all dimensions, the heroes manages to survive by creating a new universe that adds the X-Men and Fantastic Four to the MCU).

A few predictions

Movie opens where Ragnarok left off. Thanos boards the ship, kills all the Asgardians and Korg and Miek. Loki teleports Hulk to Dr. Strange's house before being killed by Thanos' minions, and Thanos makes Thor watch before casting him out into space.

Dr. Strange, Tony, Guardians, and Spider-Man fail to beat Thanos on Titan, with Tony and one Guardian dying.

The rest of them fail to beat Thanos in Wakanda, with Cap and Widow dying.

After everyone is nearly beaten, Rocket with throw some random insult at Thanos. Then coincidentally Thanos will somehow get beaten right then and Rocket will say something like "Well, that was easy".

This will probably happen in the next movie though.

This one's directed by the guys who did Cap 2 and 3. Both had plenty of serious moments that weren't ended on a joke.

unless something big happens at the end it's pretty obvious this is only half the story of IW.

all trailers that show them in different parts of the universe and story segments have thanos with 2 stones and potentially 3rd in wakanda(who are we kidding... of course he'll have 3 when it's over).

it would be pretty anti-climatic if he ends up zipping across the rest of the universe and collect the remaining stones in an instant and then be defeated by the avengers by the time the movie ends.

Someone remind me of which stones Thanos has possesion of and which ones he still needs to get. After Ultron I kind of stopped following the overarching plot of the series.

So far in the movies, he just has the gauntlet.

But in the trailers, he is shown with the Power stone and Space stone. He gets the Space one from Loki of course, but not sure if they'll show him getting the Power one by fucking up the Nova Corps.

Though there was one other trailer a week or two ago which showed him stepping out of a portal with five of the six stones on the gauntlet. You could only see it on Twitter or Instagram with their weird aspect ratio - the black bars blocked it out on YouTube.
