Just a little life hack for you - nearly all first generation antihistamines have really strong anti-nausea properties, especially meclizine and hydroxyzine. You can buy meclizine over the counter. It's a wonder drug.

And I hear you about the port placement. I put in a few HD cath lines (jugular placement) from time to time, and I'd absolutely hate to have one of those things left in me.

To be fair, I'd also hate to have dialysis.

They have me taking something called "Nat-granisetron" before chemo that supposedly stays in my system for like 72 hours to help with nausea and stuff. I'll look into the other stuff when I pop in to the drug store later though. For additional relief and whatnot.

Would it make sense that me not eating could be the cause of the nausea? I felt fine the Thursday but barely ate anything, then ate like nothing at all on Friday, and that's when it got bad.

And yeah the port is annoying as shit. They left the dressing and some clear cover still on it, so I'm like always aware of the area. Walking is annoying because I can feel the port pressing on my chest. I'm sure it'll get better, and I definitely stand by my decision to get this over a picc line, but still.

Lol I googled "Super Zofran" and saw "placebo" somewhere in the first result and was all "wait they gave me a placebo"?
