I doubt there is much of a correlation between morality and financial status. Maybe at the extreme end of success you are more likely to be a cutthroat person but not in general.

Depends on the moral system you subscribe to

In America, the ultra elite are venerated as saints and their statements are quoted and hung on walls like pieces of Scripture. The poor are regarded with distrust and hostility, and their mistreatment seen as just deserts for their lack of financial success.
