I liked the end of this little comic. David's calmly sitting on the couch when Thanos bursts in to wish him another happy birthday. He tells Thanos that he knows why he keeps doing this: Thanos wants to see how far he can push a person before they'll kill themselves. He tells Thanos that he's going to explain, "Why I hang on, why I keep living, despite everything you've done to me, to the people I love. I wake up every day and-"

At which point Thanos rips open a pipe in the roof of his apartment, floods the room, and states, "No, David, I don't care. See you next year," when he leaves.
