Everytime I take a shit after having a burger or a sandwich with lettuce, I can see the lettuce floating in the toilet, basically intact except in small bits due to chewing.

sounds like you're just eating a lot in the meals following whatever had lettuce in it so you're forcing your bowels to empty before it's been digested because if not you'd have too much food/poop in your system at once
