It was pretty hard and honestly felt pretty Souls-like. I think the one I beat then was like Guidhrhrh (I know I butchered that but it started with a G) and it took me a bunch of tries

Screw those guys. I'm not close to good enough to beat them all on the "balanced" difficulty even. I beat the first two but then said screw it and turned the difficulty down when I was facing them, even in end game.

The one that starts with a G is rhe hardest one im talking about. Found her by accident just exploring. She's kicking my ass. You really have to memorize her attack patterns and know when to block, when to dodge, and when to attack. Gotta make sure to have a good resurrection stone, know when to grab the health and when not to since you'll get hurt, gotta have full rage meter.

Yeah you really had to memorize those patterns and have good reaction times.

The thing that was messing me up the most was the flash thing where she'd do damage and blind you, until I figured out how to stop it, and even then I wasn't fast enough most of the time.

I managed to do it without a resurrection stone but yeah I'm getting some for the rest of them lol

Doesn't help she has this radial attack you can't seem to avoid.

No it's like this blast she does that gives the indicator to dodge, but you can't. It radiates from her in every direction.

Finally beat her. Had one hit left on myself and I'd have died, but I managed to do it. Had to go outside and smoke after lol. That was so fucking intense.

Now im doing more story, got the blades of chaos and am now in helheim, I wanna do more valkyries though lol.

Oh and this game just keeps throwing story twists at you starting at the halfway mark. I got atreus back and am now fighting more valkyries but will probably wait on the rest until I'm higher level.

I've beaten 8 of them by now.

I'd say that only two so far were hard: the one this topic is talking about, and another one that just seemed to constantly do the "Valhalla!" stomps.

I know "Valhalla!" can be dodged without much trouble but I would still mess up the timing a bit and it's super punishing when it hits. One time I guess I didn't hit circle fast enough and she stomped Kratos completely to death from full health. I was doing really good that attempt too.
