Dress looks black and blue to me. I can kinda see why people think the black part is gold, but that's just from the light shining on it. I don't see how anyone can see the other part as white though, maybe my screen just isn't a bright enough setting, but I can only see it as blue.

okay but when people post an image and ask us what we see in THAT IMAGE and we say the correct answer. why does it matter what it looks like in another photo

It gives us something to compare to I suppose?

I see it as black and blue and I can understand from a factual standpoint and I understand why people see white and gold. They are less evolved untermensch with eyes that can barely see color beyond the degree that a dog can see color. I feel like someone could major in the fact that a portion of the human population is inferior to the rest.

My reaction when this was a thing was "Why did someone take a picture of a blue and black dress and process it through a potato?"

It's black and blue and has always been undeniably that. I guarantee if this wasn't a big phenomena and others hadn't said it first, the number of people who claim to see white and gold would drop immensely.

That or people just don't know what colors are.

I used to think people were lying. But I know that's not true now.

I'm guessing my seeing it that way is related to how a lot of optical illusions don't work on me either.
