36 y/o Lauren Cohan's pilot tv show Whiskey Cavalier was picked up by ABC which leads her future on the Walking Dead in doubt and likely to exit the series as the network will allow her to appear on thes how temporarily to finish off her scenes

Renewing a contract as a series regular doesn't mean you will survive either as Andrew J. West who just concluded his role on Once Upon A Time was picked up as a series regular for the show but killed off early on.

Lauren did say she was returning to Season 9 of Walking Dead but it was already determined she was going to have a reduced role and likely now to exit the series for good.

She's been having negotiation issues with AMC after she wanted equal pay with the male leads of the show but AMC did not grant her request..she instead wanted a bigger pay raise but that too was not given to her despite her co-stars stating she deserved the pay raise..Lauren instead did a pilot for ABC and should that get picked up, which it did, she would leave the series for her new show.

It's unclear what will happen to Maggie as AMC will now have to rewrite the script to write her out of the series

Can't imagine she'll get paid more than what ahe already makes. And tv shows are extremely hit and miss, seems like a risky move for her.

I would bet if she leaves they write her off in a open ended way

she's kindof damn important in the comics. so this is gonna be weird. I am behind on both the comic and show though. so whatever. I don't know exactly what is going on right now. but last I read the comic, Maggie was still a major character and important to the story
