I never had a WiiU (I don't buy Nintendo until it gets a new Zelda game... And by the time BotW was out, so was the Switch lol) And while I did get HWL, it frankly sucked. Lightning is very situational, but best for challenge maps where you have to defend very low health bases from a small number of enemies trying to topple it (and just one of them toppling means defeat.) --- ... It's also the element they are naturally inclined to from the start. But any fairy can have any of the barrier effects depending on the foods they are given. It's mostly because of how much of a time investment there is in building up a fairy. Unless they made it significantly easier in DE, it can take ages to get good skills you really want on it. If you've gotten a powerful skill on a fairy, whatever damage boost the nuke gets from being a recommended element won't outweigh the skill.
Also if they kept the way Magic Fountain+ or fairy nukes work in the game, you can absolutely break just about every battle with it >_> Questionmarktarius posted... Note that there's a cap to how many you can keep, but any fairies you discard can be found again in the map you first obtained them. The 3DS version had Spotpass fairies that couldn't be gotten again though, so if they hand any out like that, keep that in mind.

They added rank 4 weapons, which start appearing in Twilight and Termina I think, and then 4+ for some characters (unless everyone gets one in DE) which are dual-element and originally appeared in the the DLC maps for Legends. They might have changed the balance and spread the weapons out a little more evenly so I don't know where they'll appear in DE.

Hell yeah, boy! They'll trigger the recommended element damage bonus, but I'm not sure if testing showed if it's the same amount as if it were the main element or if it's reduced.

Definitely won't appeal to everyone, and even for a fan like me, it sometimes takes a certain mood to even want to play. I would probably buy it on Switch if there were some sort of save transfer from the Wii U. I bought all the DLC and didn't even touch the Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess adventure maps because I didn't even beat the original one completely.
