The instruction manual for Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman! contained a cheat code in plain sight that let you start the game with all powerups unlocked:

The engineers would not be seen in-game until halo ODST

You mean Halo Wars.

Also it's Halo 3: ODST not Halo ODST.

Pokmon gen 2s only weakness is that the developers decided the game absolutely had to run with an internal battery to save. The developers obviously knew that was a bad idea in hindsight since Gen 3 doesnt have the same stringent internal battery requirements.

The Zelda Oracle games by Capcom may very well be the objectively best strictly 2d Zelda games ever made.

Metroid Prime is pretty obviously just Super Metroid conceived of in 3d with great add ons and fleshed out conceptualizations.

GameCube was actually a stronger system than the PS2. But its lack of initial competitive features made this a moot point for most.

The Mega Man X series might have made one of the greatest console leaps ever for a major franchise, going from the SNES with X3 to the PS1/Saturn with X4.

SNES had legitimate major titles coming out for it in Japan in the late 90s, such as Mega Man and Bass, which was later ported to the GBA in America.

Banjo Kazooie in early planning stages was conceived of as an isometric perspective adventure game on the SNES. There was actual technical development done for this. If the conceptualization of Banjo/Kazooie wasnt such a long process, it couldve possibly been a late SNES title.

That said, this topic is for facts, not li-opinions.

That's true. At its strongest, the GameCube's horsepower can be almost on par with the Xbox, but factors such as the small disc capacity and poor third-party support kind of squandered its potential.

The GameCube didn't come anywhere near the Xbox in terms of power. The only times the games looked similar were when the developers didn't bother optimizing for Xbox and just built a game that ran on PS2 since everything else was stronger.

Tales from the Borderlands, usually mentioned as one of Telltale's best games, was considered a failure and essentially abandoned by the studio. However, they were convinced to allow the team to finish development...on the condition that 95% of the team be removed and assigned to other Telltale projects. This also happened in the middle of the production of Episode 5, one of the biggest episodes of any Telltale game. So a skeleton crew ended up producing half of the episode by themselves.

There once existed bit of a rivalry between Rockstar(makers of GTA) and Reflections(makers of Driver).

In GTA3, there's a mission called 'Two-Faced Tanner' where you have to kill a man named Tanner. He looks a lot like Driver's protagonist and is given a female running animation. In a cutscene, one of the characters even says he's pretty much 'useless outside his car'.

In Driv3r, there are 30 'Timmy Vermicelli's you can kill. They all wear arm floaties and are heavily armed. This is a jab at GTA Vice City where the protagonist Tommy Vercetti, can't swim.

Then in GTA San Andreas you can overhear a character playing a game and shouting things like "This Sucks! I mean, how could Refractions mess up so bad?" and "Tanner, you suck ass!".

I think we all know which company came out on top :)

Halo 2's ending was cut short due to time constraints, leading to the infamous cliffhanger. The final level was originally going to involve Master Chief driving a Ghost through the Forerunner Dreadnought la the Warthog run at the end of the first game, with the final cutscenes being those of the opening Halo 3 cinematic where he crashes to earth and the Halo 3 reveal trailer where he witnesses the portal to the Ark.

Halo 3 was also going to feature some different levels and fights that didn't make the cut:

The multiplayer map Guardian was based on a cut campaign level where you travel through jungle catwalks on the Ark and encounter "guardian sentinel" minibosses (you can see a hologram of one on Epitaph).

At the end of Cortana you were originally going to fight the Gravemind himself with a downed Scarab trying to get its gun operational while you dodge his tentacles. Cutting this boss fight effectively made it so you never saw the Gravemind directly in Halo 3 (something I felt was rather unfitting).

Between Cortana and Halo there was a level where you hitch a ride on a giant "builder sentinel" to the newly made halo ring instead of flying there in a Pelican cutscene. These sentinels are what strip the planet at the center of the Ark for resources to build halos.

Bungie was also legitimately considering a Halo 4 as their final Halo game (hence the Legendary ending) but decided on Reach instead.

Bungie also intended ancient humans themselves to be the Forerunners (which makes so much sense considering all the hints they gave in the original trilogy*; more on that below), but 343 decided to change that up in order for the Didact/Prometheans as antagonists thing to make sense. I kinda like it 343's way better. I always wanted to know "what the hell did the Forerunners look like?!" and it scratched that itch, and Bungie's way would have contradicted scientific knowledge about human origins and instead co-opted the crypto-conspiracy that humans are aliens from another planet.

*Guilty Spark's lines throughout Halo 1 where he treats Master Chief like he should know what the halo is and what's going on, and where he accesses the PoA's databanks as says something like "[I finally have] a record of all our lost time! 'Human history', is it? Fascinating..." And also the line at the end of Halo 3 where he straight up tells Chief "you ARE Forerunner".

*The portal to the Ark being built on Earth and humans being the only ones capable of operating the most important Forerunner tech (admittedly not strong evidence considering it fits just as nicely into 343's take of humanity simply being the Forerunners' chosen successor race).

*The much more extreme poetic irony of the Prophets declaring a genocide upon their own gods themselves instead of just their gods' chosen ones.

Bungies first ever game was Gnop! (pong spelled backwards) for the Macintosh.

Their first 3D foray was a very hard FPS called Pathways into Darkness, and first gained major recognition (pre-Halo) with the smash hit Macintosh FPS Marathon, which became a trilogy consisting of Marathon, Marathon 2, and Marathon Infinity.

Marathon made a cameo in episodes of Red Vs Blue.

SMB2 (American release) was actually a reconfigured version of Doki Doki Panic because the direct sequel (later released in 16-bit on SMB All Stars as the Lost Levels) was deemed too hard for westerners.

It was the first game to introduce Toad, and Toad was the first Mushroom Retainer with an identity. Also the first game to introduce Princess Peach Toadstool as a playable character.

When polling consumers about which name was most appealing (including some really stupid stuff that I can't remember ATM), they included the Xbox monicker which won the vote.
