Literally grew up in the most successful economy in human history, crashed it, and now won't retire because they never saved up any money.

So now we have the useless ancient 60/70/80 year olds trying to figure how to attach a JPG to an email and just generally being slow and useless, all the while fresh grads are now competing in an oversaturated job market, and their student loans grow out of control.

And they wonder why they'll never get grandkids

My problem with boomers is that they automatically "know everything".

When they don't understand something (and it's easier to win a case before the Supreme Court than to convince a boomer that they are wrong) , it's "stupid millennials" and "who needs this anyway" and "the good old days when kids had manners".

Considering the economy they inherited and could've maximized for great gain for generations to come, they really are a toxic portion of the population as a whole. They could've been the generation that introduced renewable energy, prioritized electric vehicles rather than killed them off, set up universal healthcare at a time when the population was much thinner than it is now, etc.

As much as I agree with this I also don't know if our generation would have performed any differently if dealt the same hand.

I have two aunts in that age range and they are horrible with technology. One got swindled by one of those Windows telephone scammers for a few hundred dollars. The other almost did, but by some bizarre fluke somehow ended mistakenly getting several thousand deposited into her account instead of losing money.

What's more annoying are the ones who act all sympathetic about how it's hard for the younger generations to own a home. but are literally the same scum who are banking on screwing over a newly wed couple from this same "younger generation" to buy their house for $500,000 as a retirement plan. or hoping a Chinese foreign investor will buy their house who in turn will screw someone else over.

these are the same people who promote the whole "invest in property, its value always goes up" meme when it's literally based on the whole idea fucking over the next gen of people
