Interesting. You know, it'd make an interesting premise for a game. Alien from space arrives millions of years ago, causing problems to the point of destroying it one day. Maybe throw in some time shenanigans as well.

Scientists have also said that octopuses (that is the correct term, used by marine biologists) would become more and more intelligent throughout their life span, however, they lead pitifully short lives. Some researches have said that octopuses may be able to form societies and cultures if they were able to live past a decade or so.
