Jordan never beat Bird's Celtics and only beat Magic's Lakers when they were past their prime and hurt. the all-time greats cleared out before Jordan got his turn. I think Jordan is an all-time great of course but the best team they beat was.. the 93 Suns, probably? or the 92 Knicks/98 Pacers? and he left before the Rockets came into their own. (I don't think the Jazz were all that great.)

Yeah Jordan managed to dodge all those really good 80's teams and took over when the league was kinda soft.

I mean he didn't really dodge them. He had to play a lot of them. He just wasn't able to beat Bird's Celtics, which were kind of hard to solo (not that it stopped him from trying) although they did eventually get over the Detroit hurdle.
