I have an LGBTQ class, and the last project is to do a short entry with the intent of it being published.

Wanted to do something along the lines of Kabuki, but I'm not sure if performance/ritual is part of LGBTQ.

Any ideas for a short entry?

Women in some cases play masculine as well.

So it goes in the same bucket as African American studies and womens studies? Gotcha. Well good luck on your project.

depends on the context. "transgender issues", "transgender identity", or "transgender people" cover most sociological scenarios. "gender dysphoria" and "gender incongruence" are good for clinical terms

another side note: it also is not acceptable to use "transgender" as a noun. it is an adjective: "trans woman" works the same way grammatically as "short woman" or "smart woman"
