I miss Nintendo Power... I have somewhere around 120 issues from being subscribed.

There's a new magazine that took over where Nintendo Power left off. It's called Nintendo Force. As soon as I hear about it, I started subscribing. They only do a handful of magazines a year, but it's awesome!

They're not that hard....difficult yes. I've beaten most them. 1-8, X-X7. I'm currently playing 9 now. (Just gotta do the Dr Wily stages.) I beat most of them in a day or 2...so yeah.

MM1 is kinda brutal but the others aren't that bad, outside of vanishing brick puzzles.

Yeah the Mega Man games aren't all that hard. Challenging for sure but I was able to beat the first eight classic games at least once.

buy the legacy collection. it has save states. that takes the difficulty down quite a bit actually. just save right before any difficult looking jump and boss fights.

that was the only way I could beat it when I first attempted the series. after awhile though you get the hang of things or at least learn to enjoy the challenge.

Fun fact, they're hard because the team was so small that the testers and designers and coders were all basically the same people.
They got really good at the game because they played it all the time and made it hard for them.

So first time players are essentially expected to play at the same skill level as somebody who has played it for hundreds of hours.

Well now I feel like an elite. *flex*

Of the NES games, I found #4 and #6 to not be too bad. I also beat #2 and #5, but they were harder. I never beat #1 or #3 without cheating. I haven't played any of those six games in a long time, though.

If someone manages to master that game, all other games in the series become a walk in the park. X6 is literally the high skill test for MM players.
