i only had the one panic attack and after that i knew what the symptoms were and it let me approach them somewhat medically and it calmed me down. that first time, i thought i was dying.

Get away from other people

Find a dog to cuddle or curl up under a heavy blanket

Attempt to meditate. Failing that, try to slow and deepen my breaths or count them

What about general anxiety? Just a constant worry, that may have been triggered by something someone said or did?

Maybe play a video game

Go out

The main thing is to identify what causes it. Much of my stress and anxiety comes from my home. Sometimes I'll go on small vacations, and visit friends and extended family. All my problems go away. Sad I have to return.

a lot of what set me off was caffeine. i'd try to avoid it if i were you, if you're not already.

Actual panic attacks: deep breaths.

General anxiety: exercise and a decent diet.

If there is a specific trigger, pre-planning a course of action might help. "If I cross paths with this person, I will __________." "If this person says something to me, I will _________." Just thinking through the possibilities and being prepared can help curb some of the anxiety.
