Did the theater eventually fill up, and what did you think of it?

I have become less interested in Star Wars since Force Awakens and Rogue One, both were perfectly fine but not so spectacular that I get hyped to see them. But I find the business side of things kind of interesting to watch unfold, because Disney is obviously trying to build this up in the same way they have with Marvel, but theres been a big drop off in profits from TFA to RO/TLJ and Last Jedi in particular was the first one that dipped more into the mixed reviews territory. Now with Solo Ive heard similar rumblings, mostly that the characters are pretty fun but the actual story is just kinda meh, but even from Star Wars fans so it feels like this might be the first Star Wars movie that genuinely doesnt do well. Disney would kind of be in the DC trap where you have this ultra iconic brand with long term roadmap of movies already in production but with diminishing returns.

good movie. some of the beginning plot felt a little forced like *movie spoilers* how Chewbacca and Han become friends after him just speaking a little wookiee and how Lando joins up with them. liked the ending and especially the appearance of darth maul. also the ending made it seem like there is going to be a sequel.

My theatre was like completely full but I see other people complaining about empty theaters. I went at 8 on a Friday so that was probably the busiest time though.

ended up being the only one in there for the whole movie which was pretty awesome. i think it was because it was so early and i went to a 3D showing.
ive enjoyed all the new star wars movies theyve made so i dont mind them whoring out the franchise and pump out movies, but i think a lot of people are getting tired of them especially since i was the only one in the theater on opening weekend. im sure the movies will still be profitable but theyll probably slow down on how many they put it to try and avoid viewer fatigue of the brand.

I know there is a boycott of some kind. But it was also projected to be one of their worst selling movies.

yea it was projected to take $115 million but reports are saying it might only do $90 million domestically and overseas it hasnt done well which is no good. hopefully it has a strong second weekend because i want to see a follow up to this one
