Eh though it's not like they can bring Harrison Ford back for the 50th time. I dunno what people expected to come out of a Han Solo movie though. I never really ever wished that I could see his adventures outside of the Star Wars original trilogy because... that was probably his best adventure, all things considered. Nobody wants to see a movie about a 2nd best adventure

I have a lot of criticisms about Solo, but this isn't one of them. I went in with your exact opinion, but Alden Ehrenreich actually did a pretty good job. You can tell he studied and practiced some of Ford's mannerisms and did capture a bit of Han Solo (albeit it constrained to the writer's vision of him).

The best part about the movie will be RLMs review of it. They were pretty accurate in their speculations.

There were some moments of brilliance there, but yeah, it fell short. It felt like they couldnt decide if they were making a kids movie or not. Still an entertaining watch.

The space monster and last 20 minutes were terrible. Only good part was Han shooting first in a way that didnt induce a groan. Actually, all of the deaths were more emotional than anything in the new trilogy. The movie kicked ass until Lando, who felt wasted for the most part. Ron Howards touch was very apparent.

Thor 2 was bad though, there are way more average MCU films than that

but I agree with the general sentiment. it wasn't bad but it wasn't great - it just felt ok. for the price of a ticket and ~2 hours, not a bad flick

As if The Last Jedi wasnt enough of a failure, Solo has already done worse critically and financially. Good going Kathleen Kennedy

Of course other people will be playing Thor in 30 years lol. Probably will be a new canon though.
