I'm not looking for anything cutting edge. Just a decent PC to play some older games and let me do online schooling. My budget is just about 1k. I already have a monitor and keyboard and mouse.

Honestly, if you can wait, wait a little more. Since GPU prices are dwindling down again

With that you could play most recent or semi-recent games. Good PC overall.

I need it sooner unfortunately. I need it to study for a test for school that I am starting. I can always upgrade later if I really need to I suppose.

Really? That's good. I honestly know nothing about PC gaming and wasn't sure of the minimum specs on most games these days.

You're probably not going to be able to play recent AAA titles on ultra-high in 4K resolution. But you should be able to play pretty much everything in 1080p ultra-high, or slightly-lower-quality 4K.

If you decide you want to get 4K ultra-high, the only thing you need to upgrade is the GPU.

Yes. It's a good PC for that price. Good GPU and a nice processor. You'll be safe with that.

For what you're getting it's okay. You could build a monster for a few bucks more. I5 8k's are 200. 1080's are 550 and dropping, 100 on mobo, 100 on PSU, 120 on RAM, 100ish for case. Hell, you could build that exact machine for a bit less.
