A black woman went on a rant against an Orthodox Jewish man aboard a crowded city subway train after he called her racist, video of the incident shows.

The nearly two-minute clip, posted last week by Twitter user @Chrisfrench_, begins in the middle of the heated morning confrontation between the pair on a Bronx-bound 4 train at 8:53 a.m.

You said Im racist so you tell me what Im being racist towards because youre Jewish and I said if a Jewish family got on here, somebody would have got up. That is not a racist statement. That is a factual statement, the woman can be heard yelling at the man as they both stand on the moving train.

Israeli national broadcaster Arutz Sheva identified the man as Yossi Wolfe, a 31-year-old Wall Street Journal software engineer.

Wolfe told the TV station the hubbub began after another African American woman with three small kids boarded the crowded train last week and no one gave up their seat for them.

So this other lady started screaming at everyone around her, saying Why are you guys not getting up? This ladys here with her three kids, said Wolfe, who had been standing, and then she finally said, If it was a Jewish family yall would have gotten up! At which point I said to her, Can we please not make this a racist thing?

And thats what set off the sunglasses-wearing woman, according to Wolfe.

She could often be heard in the video shouting over Wolfe: You need to learn the difference between race Judaism is not a race. It is a religion.

The man can then be heard quietly telling the woman to calm down.

No, I need to calm down now because Im schooling your ass, the woman says. You guys think youre so fucking smart, but guess what? Im gonna teach you a lesson on this fucking train today.
Wolfe then interrupts and says: No, you guys. I am a person. You are a person.

No! No! the woman replies....

What a surprise, the woman in question WAS making a complete ass of herself.

She also apparently didn't know "Jewish" is an actual race, not JUST a religion.

She also was using the phrase "you people" to attempt to make a VERY bad point that only made her look worse.

Video can be summed up as follows:
Crazy women makes a fool of herself on subway all other passengers ignore her.

Jews are a race of people. Some practice Judaism, some dont. Example - Sigmund Freud was decidedly Jewish. He was also a confirmed atheist who wrote whole books decrying religion.

You can be of jewish race and not follow judaism likewise you can follow judaism and not be jewish (race).

Shes generalizing the subway riders. If the family getting on was white and no one got up for them no body is making a stink about it.

The motherfucking MTA in NYC is the most diverse part of being in Manhattan. So it's not as if other African Americans were rushing to give their seats up.

It's always easy to pick out people trying to push an agenda because they don't actually have proper responses, they simply disappear or strawman people to try to make their non-existent point.

Assuming you consider black skin a racial attribute, you're basically saying that a population of people who are 99% one race and 1% another means that the race that makes up 1% of their genes is not a race. That doesn't make any kind of sense. Guess what. There are people out there who are 99% of that race. And Jewish blood is as much a race as any other. It's been passed down within a finite sized population long enough to create distinct physical attributes.

Now if you wanted to argue that because race is always defined by grey areas that there is essentially no such thing as race at all, I'd concur. But if racism is a thing then stereotyping Jews is as racist as stereotyping blacks.

Just because people who are not descended from Jewish blood can convert and become Jewish religiously doesn't mean that those who are genetically Jewish don't share genes.

It's often very easy to tell if somebody is Jewish by looking at them. Just like Japanese people, or Chinese people, or black people, or Indian, or whatever. Yes there can be races within races. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand. A race is created when a finite population mate with each other over enough generations that genes are shared across the population. Crossbreeding with other groups occurs, perhaps in this respect Jews are not as distinct or defined as other races, but there's no rule about how much crossbreeding is too much There's no rule about how many genes have to be shared. I know my Jewishness is more than a religion but a bond by blood.
