I've only seen the first (two) episodes and I enjoyed it. Thinking of watching through it. Is it good? Kinda reminds me a little of TLA, as in, seemingly anime roots but Western style humor/characters, with some cool magic fights.

I'm hoping it has depth too

I actually find the first 6ish episodes to be really not good, but yeah, I enjoy it. I'm glad I didn't let the scary parts of the fandom keep me from it, since I was initially really reluctant due to that.

As for depth, sometimes they explore pretty dark and/or mature topics, and there's a very big and active part of the fanbase that theorizes and speculates, because there's a LOT to do so for.

It is however, held back by poor pacing, though a good chunk of this is due to CN's scheduling.

I find it amazing. A couple friends encouraged me to check it out last year and I got hooked fast. The start of the series is a bit slow. I really disliked Steven for a good part of 35 episodes or so. He was hit and miss throughout that time.

I purchased the first season dvd set. With the new episodes now I hate the wait time so much. The show is huge right now, I love it.

I figure they'll either hate it, or just completely fall head over heels in love with the show. Leaning towards maybe the latter since they like AtLA?
