I dont understand why they felt this would be a good thing to do. Almost as dumb as ever making Raven wear her hood over her face.

The problem I had with the original TT was it was too beholden to anime tropes and bullshit.

Animation is exceedingly expensive, either you get a well animated show with a shit ton of merchandise to finance it or something creator driven and cost effective. The landscape has changed a ton since the 90s.

The art isn't cheap. It's normal kid level art. The artistic design is to have a more friendly and goofy animation. It isn't a quality drop, just a different style that you feel is inferior. Hey I disliked teen titans go at first too, but then once I realized it wasn't a serious superhero show, i stopped caring.

It's not a downgrade so much as it's just different animation. It's a totally different style from the 2003 Teen Titans. If you like one style more than the other, then fine, but it's not like it's trying but failing to look like the 2003 show.

I... literally have nothing to comment on this. I get that the goal of the show is different but... it makes me feel sad. I miss the original, hope they make a sequel of that in the future.

Have to disagree with this. I made my young cousin stop watching a cartoon (idk which one it was, but it was on the same level as this one) to watch Avatar the Last Air Bender with me and my sister just by putting it on a nearby TV. He came to us on his own and was fascinated by the show.

And a show like TTG is also easy to write for because there is no actual plot, each episode is just nonsense with no narrative structure.

The TTG staff is actually well aware of the fact that their show is stupid nonsense that only exists because it's cheaply produced and quick to pump out en mass.
