Current Events > Just finished watching "The Ritual" on Netflix. Anyone seen this?

Thoughts?

Im not big on scary/horror movies but Ive been on a bit of a binge lately. watched the descent part 1 and 2 like 3 days ago, and the Lazarus effect yesterday, but I have to say that The Ritual has been the best out of those so far. holy hell that movie had insane build up and really tense moments, but I gotta say I was let down by what the creature actually looked like towards the end. the whole movie I was thinking holy shit, this will by far be the most terrifying thing Ill ever see, but it wasnt bad at all, just some mutated deer or some shit haha. good movie overall tho. any suggestions or recommendations on other movies like this? thanks yall!

Kill List and The Witch, kinda, but they're not on Netflix.

Black Death, maybe. it's on Netflix, iirc, but it's a thriller that takes place during the middle ages.

I watched it and felt pretty much the same. I looked up what the deal is with the creature and the history of the folklore is more interesting than what you get out of the creature that is portrayed in the movie.

the witch was so bad tho. at the end of the movie some guy yelled "fuck you, movie" then a bunch of us laughed. i think all of us did - there werent many ppl in the theater
