I was also using drugs pretty heavily and drinking 3-4 times a week to try and numb the pain.

Now I have a great paying job, a fiance who I'm marrying in 4.5 months, and my mental health is completely managed. I'm not going to say completely gone because I struggle to sleep sometimes from anxiety, but valerian and melatonin is all I need.

Hang in there, CE. It WILLget better.

Look, one of the biggest (and hardest) parts of it is that you have to tell yourself that you will make it. Even if you don't believe it. Lie to yourself. It actually helps.

I drive to work every morning singing along to The Greatest Man That Ever Lived so I can repeat to myself over and over "I am the greatest man that ever lived, I was born to give and give and give". And it actually puts me in a good mood. Over time, I actually began believing I was a good person and people would be lucky to interact with me.

I moved cities to leave my drug life behind. I talked to a psychiatrist and got help. I started studying, I threw myself into my work to become good at it and invaluable to my company, I started working out, I saved money, I started traveling the world to experience different cultures and became a better person for it. I started doing things and working on myself instead of sitting around waiting for things to happen. I looked at myself and said hey, you are actually a decent looking person with a good attitude.

I also should mention, it will get better if you work at it. You can't sit in your room waiting for life to turn around.

That's SirMixaLot, he's a fake lawyer who got caught posting his sister's paycheck to try and impress CE. He's also lied about how much he makes, as proven when he whined about how much he had to pay on taxes.

Lol, nice. I see him make some pro-right leaning topics whereas I'm generally centrist/left leaning, and I am also a strong proponent of globalisation and free trade for all, so maybe that rubs him the wrong way.

Statistically, you are correct, but that shouldn't stop you from trying to not be that person.

As difficult as it is, you have to work to pull yourself out of the shit. There is a way, there are support networks.

And it's a lot more than one. You will be right in saying that many people will live miserable, trite lives, but I know a great way to not have a chance to make things better, and that's to give up.
