33 y/o Garrard Conley from Arkansas, a gay man was sent to CONVERSION T HERAPY by his own family after they threatened to DISOWN him has now wrote a memoir about his life and now it's being turned into a hollywood film!!

He was forced to go to Restoration Path, one of America's most notorious conversion camps that specialized in "praying the gay away" and "reaffirming gender identity roles and saving souls"..it was also a camp that helped converting PEDOPHILES!!

He wanted to tell his story on how horrid the practice is as he's STILL GAY and proves that people are born this way and you can't change who they are and should be banned

That pushed him into the brink of suicide and took years for him to finally come to terms who he really is and that he is gay before meeting his husband and wrote his memoir "Boy Erased"

He went to the UK where he spoke of the horrifying experiences he endured as they treated him like a sex addict alongside pedophiles and those guilty of bestiality!!

His dad was a Baptist Pastor who gave him an ultimatum to either go to camp or cure his homosexuality or risk being cut off from the family with no money for his college.

His ex-friend, who also said had RAPED HIM as a child OUTED HIM at 19 in 2004 to his parents as he was then enrolled at the Memphis Branch "Love in Action" the largest ex-gay therapy organization in the country

He went there until March 2012 where the camp was founded by an EX-GAY Christians, Frank Worthen, John Evans and Kent Philpott

The activist spoke out about it which he said took him more than a decade to finally write about it as it's a sort of psychotherapy where they sat you next to people with differnt issues, such as a 19 y/o who was a pedophile and a woman who had bestiality issues

They were seen as sexual deviants who borrowed from Alcoholics Anomymous, which is EVERYTHING

After growing in a deeply conservative community, he and his husband now live in New York as he felt going to that camp was his only choice to avoid losin everything..but despite this, he never had hate for his parents as he wanted to demonstrate he loved his family

He now travels around the country as an activist to lecture schools on radical compassion and the film starring Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe will release in 2018 by Universal Pictures

Garrard said he also stars as an extra alongside his mother who has now supported him and that his father is dealing with his homosexuality the "best" way he can
