I saw it as less marketing to adults, and more akin to throwing a bone to the adults that have one because they have kids.

It's not the situation I'm in, but I can definitely see how someone has a switch for the kids and they grab a game for themselves for after the little rascals go to sleep.

That seems to be the situation. I mean, it's mostly ports, right?

have you ever been camping? after a day of kayaking and drinking beer, once the sun goes down, there is plenty of time to play a game with your buddies. card games and shit are pretty typical, why not a switch

I'd argue the switch has always been marketed towards adults. It's been getting mature game nods since it's release, and the marketing for the console itself seemed aimed at college kids and young families. If you remember that trailer about parental controls, you can see them playing both to nostalgia and adult practicality.

I'm not saying you have to play vidya games I am saying there is ample opportunity to at your camp site during down time (you can cook at a campfire and play games bro) which you are agreeing with you're just saying I should catch fireflies and fish instead.

I'm honestly thinking of just going to the Switch exclusively. They have all the games I'd really have time for anyways

I do a ton of hiking/camping and my best friend and I are doing a 4 day hike in Montana this year and messed around with the idea of bringing his Switch for playing at night. We probably won't, but we usually hike pretty hard and don't do anything at night other than listen to music. Plus through all my years of hiking I've only been able to camp at a lake once so that's usually out. We're usually just too tired at night to do much so gaming for an hour or so sounds great

like I said we usually play cards when we're done for the day, like Uno or maybe a drinking game, so why not
