Is it possible to enter the College of Winterhold with a non-magic character?

Are there any quests related to it for a character that doesn't major in magic?

Every character in Skyrim has access to low level spells so yeah you can join even if you typically arent a spellcaster

So the reason I asked is because the char doesn't cast spells or drink potions. I want to enter without having to cast a spell.

Yeah. Like major and minor skills.

Wasn't the only way in across a magic walkway or something where you had to cast spells to keep going? Or am I thinking of something else?

I think something like that, or you have to cast magic on the door. It's locked until you show them you can cast.

There are a few games with magic walkways, though. Two off the top of my head are Turok and SM RPG.

IIRC they ask for you to cast Summon Flame Atronach, which is not that easy for a non-caster. I think sometimes they might ask for something else that's a little easier (though I can't remember for sure), but there's also a way to impress the person by just using a shout as well.

It's dependant on what you say your reason is for showing up.

That'd be nice. Do you ever get stuck with missions that require magic to be cast? Or can you pretty much bully your way through the game if needed?

I remember one quest in College of Winterhold that got a puzzle that requires you to cast some specific spells in the correct order.
But the NPCs around you will provide you with scrolls with those spells that you can use instead.

You might have to use like... flame. Maybe. A staff might work but idk.

@Kyuubi4269

Okay sweet. Thanks.

Are miscellaneous quests important at all? Or are they basically throw-away fetch-type quests? Do they register or record anywhere, so that I can see which ones I've completed?

At a very low level you have to cast Firebolt..

Good to know, but my char doesn't use magic. He also doesn't drink potions. My health is off the charts, but I pack lots of food with me in case I do end up getting hurt enough that I need to heal. I'm kind of role-playing within the game itself. And now that I have the thief quest up from however many hours ago after picking up one of those gems, he's going to become a brute thief, as well.

If you've completed the beginning quest for the Greybeards and they officially deem you the Dragonborn you can always tell the Elf guarding the entrance. She'll ask you to shout I believe then she'll let you in.

Yeah, that's what I'm counting on.

Lol. If that doesn't work out, apparently my Speech is at 91-2. Or whatever the number two means underneath the skill bar. I think that means I've hit 100 twice, so I'm currently (essentially) Speech 291.

Even if I were to join the College of WInterhold itself? (Not that I would, I just have to get inside there for another quest.)

Thanks a lot.

Money isn't so much of an issue. It's more my OCD that's asking. I looked up quests which can be missed and am looking through one list right now. Seems there are quite a few, but most are part of larger questlines like the main quest factions. There are some that are misc. or shorter quests, like "The Forgemaster's Fingers".

I also read I should do all quests in each area before proceeding with the main because it can make it impossible to complete certain ones within certain cities. Unsure if that's true or not.

See previous comment. Once you're in (which I recall requires casting one spell, but someone above said you can bypass that requirement with high speech), you never need to cast another spell. You can become the head of the College without ever using magic again.
