feels like a stupid question but I'm curious

do most games have you play with a joycon in each hand?

do multiplayer games require you to use 4 joycons total, or does each person get one? can you choose for each to use two?

I briefly played a MK8 demo that just has you play on one joycon and I hated it (WAY too small for my hands).

I dont suppose it'd support wii u or wii controllers either?

what's the ideal way to play single player and multiplayer games with spending $60 on a pro controller? does one person always have to use the default joycons on multiplayer (like with the wii u touchpad)?

Most games use both joycons, yes. Whether they're attached to the console, attached to a joycon grip to be more like a normal controller, or just held separately in each hand, all three of these methods are functionally the same, just with different form factor.

This varies by game. Some can be played 2-player with two joycons total, held horizontally, but some require a full set of buttons for each player. There are system options to assign what joycons are for which player.

Nah, with the exception of Gamecube controllers plugged into the gamecube controller adapter

Can you play everything with whatever Pro Switch controller exists? Thats mostly what I want to know because it would be most comfortable to use

man why does everyone want GameCube? I actually really like the gamepad and thr wiimote/nunchuck combos

know if the wired controllers were any good? I they're way cheaper then pro controllers or a second set of joycons
