I wouldn't say it's easy at all. I got a Happy Meal at Mcdonalds and they left out out the toy .22 hand gun, so I had to go back in and talk to the manager and raise hell.... it was a whole thing.

Idk. It just is. The vast majority of land in the US is wilderness that comes with it's own very real predator animal problems. The solution of which is the use of guns. Think of it as that wild west mentality. It's very real. Heck I'm CA and we just started allowing concealed carry in my town. Rural but near big cities. The honest to god mountains start 4 blocks away form me. And all the critters that live there have an eye on the small farm/ranch land animals between me and there. It's just life I guess. Much like how I don't understand the issues of and how people live in big cities. They don't understand rural life.
I inherited 3 guns from my grandfather. I bought new bullets for them but I've never fired one in my life. Those are there for emergency. And one I take with me when camping and it sits under my pillow at night.

The vast majority of land may be wilderness but the vast majority of people live in suburbs and cities...

Which is why most people I think have such a negative view on guns. They're in their little bubbles.
