otherwise, on average crpg are superior on most part, especially the role playing part. it is, in essence is just an offshot of wizardry back in 80s

Usually has the most engaging story though I'm not the most enthusiastic person about turn based combat the games offer.

Some are incredible though. Final Fantasy 9 and 4 are some of my favorite games ever.

the thing that kills most of them is uninteresting combat system imo

I don't think that's fair, because different jrpgs have different combat systems. For example, Shin Megami Tensei games have very different combat than Tales games.

I don't mean to say they're all the same, just that in general I think jrpgs tend to not have fun enough combat to balance out how much combat they have
