Jesus, just finished reading through the patch notes and it looks like crit is gonna be insanely good now. Seems like you should easily be able to get over 25% crit chance BASE on all characters now, and on the high crit chance classes you can probably get closer to 50%, even higher with stuff like camping buffs. Guess I'll buy sets of DLC on sale next week and play this again xD

To quote another observation I had on this new DLC,

Steam Discussions are rife with complaints that the farmstead crashes on launch. Even for $5, I'll hold off for the next hotfix since the base price is so good.

Also the meta change has me worried. Universal nerfs, removing stalling techniques, practically killing the crusader and houndmaster and making it so crits buff everyone? E.G: Stressful Goblet lands with a "devastating blow," thus buffing that goblet guy's abilities? lol

That's just too much at once. I don't really feel keen to launch a new vanilla mod-free save and have to relearn the entire combat meta. Game was hard enough without all but removing stunlock and party synergy. All classes are geared towards being similar, not wildly different.

My experience with Darkest Dungeon was that I was playing it, got to the part in the tutorial where I had to let one of my heroes rest, decided to let them all rest and then I couldn't do anything

Can't read any of the endgame/bosses content cause highlighting on the phone doesn't actually reveal them. Anyone able to paste that portion?

Apparently they hired a new company to do the Korean translation and they did a ridiculously awful job with it. So the game is being review bombed by Koreans.

They're all stat changes to lategame enemies. Main big attacks being changed to ignore stealth and increased crit rate.

Played a new save file of this for a few hours on stream tonight. From my experience, it feels pretty much the same as ever, probably slightly weighted towards being easier. The increased crit rate is DEFINITELY noticable, as is the nerfed universal accuracy rate. Both sides were dodging/missing much more frequently. Enemies did not seem to crit much more than usual. Also had several instances where enemies were consistently just doing 0 damage with successful hits on AoE skills which felt good.

Farmstead is definitely NOT for early game, however. Literally an endless gauntlet of enemies, and you get zero reward if you have to abandon the quest. Not sure how you complete the quest, actually. I assume you have to hit a high enough body count? Anyway, invested a fair amount of gold in an attempt that went ok but eventually fell to pieces due to not having a healer with me (my fault) and consistently missing too many attacks in a row (also my fault for attempting it with four level 0 mercs). I think once you get some good trinkets/quirks on a decent team it should probs be managable though, and the Comet Shard trinkets are FUCKING BROKEN.

So far my only major gripe is that you can get the wandering boss from this DLC and the last one in the same run. Which is brutal
