Moviepass is still a better deal (while it's still in operation) so pass.

You can get two subs of Moviepass for the price of one here. Sucks cuz I like AMC theaters the most. Moviepass is being bitter as fuck in those tweets though.

Disagree. If you have an AMC theater near you, and it offers IMAX, leather inclined massage seats, reserved seats, or other premium seating, this is a much better deal. Especially because you can reserve seats well in advance (which you cannot do with moviepass).

We would most likely make the switch to AMC's monthly pass within the next month or so.

10/month > 20/month

It's simple math

Depends on if you're interested in viewing the same movies more than once. (Something moviepass no longer allows)

This actually interests me considering I typically go to AMC theaters and all know MoviePass is going to die sometime soon.

i guess if you have an amc movie near you and you go a lot this is good

but for me, i never see movies alone so id have to get 2, and the only AMC theaters near me are in the downtown district of the nearby city and i hate going there.

oh well.

For me, it'd be the exact same thing (neglecting that there's no AMC close by). The difference is I can't see multiple movies a day (lol) or see movies more than once (which tbh I only see MCU movies multiple times so it's not a huge loss).

So I'd be throwing those 10 dollars away every month.

Agreed. If you don't care for premium offerings, and don't care to buy tickets in advance (which is getting more and more difficult, as most theaters around here require reserved seats), Moviepass is the better choice.

Nah, you can use Moviepass with almost any theater.

But if you're in a city with few AMC theaters, its not gonna do you any good.

What movies are actually out that you would watch 12 in a month? I doubt many.

I have moviepass, but this is tempting
AMC isn't going anywhere, moviepass is hemorrhaging money all the time
moviepass only lets you see a movie once and in regular format, this AMC stuff will let me watch imax movies (and I guess 3D too, but ehh)
AMC also lets you order ahead which lets you pick a good seat, finding a good seat the day of with my wife who has her own moviepass can be awkward as we have to go separate
I really only watch one or two movies a week. only seeing three movies a week isn't changing my behavior at all. in fact, three a week might be a better deal as I could do a back-to-back showing on one day

of course, $10 is better than $20 so I'll deal with moviepass until my subscription is up or the company fails. but AMC has a thing going here that appeals to me

Sinemia is a better deal for me. 2tickets to a movie for 10 bucks a month. I almost never go more often than that and I never go alone so it's pretty good.

Every theater around me is AMC

On top of that, isn't Moviepass a bitch to get signed up for?

You may have to wait a while for them to mail a card to you. I don't know how long the wait time is nowadays, but it was up to a couple months back when moviepass blew up last year.

Moviepass will probably die soon. If AMC were $5 cheaper or at least had a couples bundle or something I would buy it immediately tbh.
