I wonder why they haven't tried already.

Oh man we'll probably see deals where Sony markets a game to actively block the potential for crossplay.

It would tremendously improve the games, particularly after the next installment releases and playerbase dwindles

It would help a lot for games that are a bit more niche. Hopefully that would lead to better variety for multiplayer titles.

How will cross play work for friends lists and stuff? Like if you meet someone cool that plays well with you and you want to team up in future but you're on different consoles?

I think they usually use the third party account attached to the game itself.

So Activision games would use Battle.net accounts for example

Agree, it would make things so much better for everyone... and Sony would still block their players from being involved. Plus, as much as I would love to see it happen, it would never happen with Call of Duty because of how much money Sony paid Activision for the rights to get CoD's DLC packs released on PS4 earlier than other consoles.

Yeah it probably won't happen until next gen at the very least.

I could see EA hopping on board though. It would certainly benefit their Origin platform.

So there would be even more curse swearing little kids in my games? Seems like a great way to improve the quality of your experience.

If they include PC in crossplay then you'll have nothing but crying from the console players because the PC guys are fucking their shit up (specifically in FPS's).

I really hope they use it for Titanfall 3. Especially if they fuck it over and release it in between Battlefield and CoD again.
