i dont believe this ever happened

ok @_@....

But you do know like literally a few comments above you someone else with Samsung Pay has the exact same issue right?

It actually happens a lot, everyone knows Apple Pay, but no one knows Samsung Pay.

Apple Pay apparently works no where.

While Samsung Pay I am leaning into the fast food window saying "bring that reader over here xD."

The trick to make Samsung Pay work everywhere. Is just to disable NFC on your phone. Then it forces it to send out same signal as a credit card.

Literally everything that accepts a credit card, accepts Samsung pay.

But thanks to Apple Pay users. Everyone thinks your shit will not work xD.

I think the part he doesnt believe is you leaning over the counter to press the credit card button... Which is a little hard to believe. And would be kind of rude. And might have looked like you were stealing, possibly... I would also get mad if a cashier didnt understand what I was doing, but I would explain like ShadosAtPhoenix instead of pushing the button. Unless youre exaggerating. Then he would probably believe you. Idk. I would have also felt the cashier was being rude to not believe me, but still...

My wife is really high up the walmart chain, and I practically visit her every day and eat lunch with her.

I see how often the "cashiers" come and go at walmart, they never last. Having to fight with one after you have said "press credit" for the 100th time and they have some stupid smug look on their face like they know better than you. Got old fast, I do not even hesitate to press the credit confirmation key at Walmart the second they

1. Refuse to press it

or

2. Stand with a confused idiot look and not move

Until they press it I am stuck there, and it WILL take for ever for the extra dumb ones.

It is really easy. I scan phone, they press credit. My receipt prints.

But no like every other week when the new ones cycle through. Like clockwork, one of them will not be intelligent enough to grasp pushing a stupid key.

I'll pass, I prefer stuff that doesn't make my funds easier to filch.

Tap is protected better than the chip.

Nope.

Zero liability. Slightly less secure. Still miles better. Add in the fact you can only use $200 and it's a much more secure way to protect your money. They get your chip and say goodbye to all your money.

...credit card chip has the same liability (because it's *still* a credit card), so how is it "say goodbye to all your money"? -_-

I recommend you guys get it.

Yep, it is actively being pushed here, the moment I got the card with the functionality in the mail, I cycled to the nearest office of my bank and told them to turn that function of on it.

Cashiers even go: "just hold it against it", from time to time, but I just give them a flat and slightly angry no while sticking in the card and entering the pin.

Some of the vending machines at my workplace accept Samsung Pay... and charge an extra 10 cents. So for the convenience of using Samsung Pay, you're paying a 6-20% premium (assuming you only buy one thing, which is the norm).

Disable NFC on your Samsung Phone and the reader has no way of knowing if it is Samsung Pay or a Credit Card (though if vending machines charge 10 cents to credit cards too, you will still get fee =P)

They do. I use them quite frequently... Have one at work and a bunch at tech school... when I was there...
So, it would still be 10 cents extra.

I don't have Samsung Pay, and I never will. I'm not interested in having my cc info tied to my phone.

It's probably already tied to the accounts on your phone though.
